About the Practice

MT Presence

A fine art photography practice concerned with weather, surface, distance, and the time required to look.

MT works between abstraction and the visible world. The photographs begin with real places and objects, then stay with the point at which description becomes uncertain: a shoreline held in fog, a plane of stone, or light crossing an ordinary form.

The resulting photographs are restrained and enduring, intended to be lived with, studied over time, and passed on.
